Founded by Sharon Mridul, whose initiative was to improve an underrated product for reformer pilates which were much simpler in choice, moisture absorbent and made from natural fibres that now serve others for everyday and exercise.
"I designed these grip socks to help me improve my pilates practice.
I needed something that offered me a peace of mind during my practice. Little did I know of the impact our feet have on our posture, spine and balance during our pilates practice. As well as this, my feet can get sweaty which made it very uncomfortable for me to wear synthetic and non moisture aborbing grip socks or no grip socks at all!
That's when decided to experiment with different fibres and manufacturing processes to create an ergonomic yet moisture aborbing grip sock made from natural and recycled fibres for reformer pilates."
Materials are consciously sourced using natural hemp as our main source of fibre for its durability, modest water needs, no agricultural chemical requirements, and no plant wastage...we sought no hesitation in nature's way. Combined with recycled microfibres to absorb moisture, a thin finish for flexibility and airflow and supportive podiatry approved feet supportive features, each design was created to support our performance and offer a peace of mind during exercise.
ONE PILLAR's ethos is to create a sense of calm within ourselves and advocate for a simpler way of life. We design products that encourage us to consume less and choose well as we create a simple dialogue between plant, space and self.
